DK-28 diesel engine is a new product developed and produced by Shaanxi Diesel Heavy Industry introduced the patented technology of Daihatsu Diesel Engine Co., Ltd. of Japan, in order to make the model form a serialized and echelon production and broaden the market scope of the company's products, Shaanxi Diesel Heavy Industry began to carry out the localization of 6DK-28 diesel engine.
In the development process of the first 6DK-28 diesel engine, on the basis of summarizing the experience of localization development of 8DK-28 diesel engine, the engineering and technical personnel comprehensively digested, understood and absorbed the machine technology, and successfully completed the processing of domestic parts of the machine and the tasks of diesel engine assembly and commissioning. After a number of tests such as bench running-in test, matching test, back pressure test and exhaust smoke test, the technical parameters of 6DK-28 diesel engine meet the requirements of the test outline and have successfully passed the approval of China Classification Society and ship owners.
The 6DK-28 diesel engine is compact and has good performance, with a rated power of 1912 kW and a maximum power of 2100 kW, which can be used as a main engine for 500 to 600 container ships. The successful development of the machine fills the gap of diesel engine in the 2000 kW power segment of Shaanxi Diesel Heavy Industry, enriches and optimizes the diesel engine series, and lays a solid foundation for the company to enter the broader ship engine market.
