Enterprises need to have strong research and development capabilities to meet customer requirements. At the same time, customized products, especially those with high operating heights and special needs in the power industry, usually have high individual value and added value.
(3) Suitable for the development of specialized small and medium-sized enterprises. The high-altitude work vehicle industry has the characteristics of small industry scale, multiple product varieties, strong specificity, high technical content, high safety requirements, and obvious differentiated needs. Usually, it can only be customized, and single specification products are difficult to achieve large-scale production, which is suitable for the development of specialized small and medium-sized enterprises. Large enterprises cannot invest corresponding technical research and development resources, market development resources, and management energy as the leading industry, The industry characteristics constrain the entry of large enterprises. For example, China's major enterprises such as XCMG Group and Zoomlion Heavy Industry also entered the high-altitude work vehicle industry in the mid-1990s and early this century. After years of operation, Zoomlion Heavy Industry only announced five products in 2013, with annual sales of around 20 units, while XCMG Group's annual sales were only around 20 units. In the international field of high-altitude work vehicles, the top 10 production enterprises are all specialized production enterprises of high-altitude work vehicles and related specialized vehicles.

Due to the fact that specialized vehicles belong to the automotive industry, China has strict regulations on enterprise access, registered capital, foreign equity ratio, product registration, certification, inspection, defect recall, and other aspects of the specialized vehicle industry.
(5) Seasonal demand is quite evident. The users of high-altitude work vehicles are mainly concentrated in industries such as electricity, municipal and landscaping. Influenced by the budget management and procurement systems of national administrative institutions and large state-owned enterprises such as electricity, the high-altitude work vehicle industry accounted for about 40% of the total shipment volume in the fourth quarter of the year.
