Class 3E super large quay bridge is a quay bridge developed for  18000TEU container ships, with a lifting height of 48~52.5 meters (adjusted according to the actual elevation of the terminal); the outer extension distance is greater than 70 meters (adjusted according to the distance of the front edge of the terminal); Capable of loading and unloading extreme situations of 10-story ultra-high boxes on deck.

What are 3E and 3E PLUS class super large quay bridges?

Class 3E super large quay bridge is a quay bridge developed for  3E class 18000TEU container ships, with a lifting height of 48~52.5 meters, an outer extension distance of more than 70 meters, and can load and unload the extreme situation of 10 layers of ultra-high boxes on the deck. The lifting capacity of the 3E PLUS class super large quay bridge double spreader is 120 tons, the front extension distance is 80 meters, the rear extension distance is 29 meters, the track distance of the large car is 50 meters, and the lifting height on the rail is 54 meters and above.

In the development of the international container shipping market, the large-scale ship is an effective way for shipping companies to reduce operating costs in order to strive for higher transportation efficiency. With the birth of the Triple E container ship, the loading and unloading capacity of the original quay bridge of the terminal can no longer meet the loading and unloading requirements of the Triple E ship. The front girder is not long enough, the crane is not high enough, and the operation speed is not fast enough, which seriously restricts the improvement of the operation efficiency of container terminals. In order to adapt to the trend of large-scale container ships, Zhenhua Heavy Industry aims at market demand, conquers a series of key technologies such as improving operating efficiency under ultra-large lifting height and external extension, self-weight, stiffness, fatigue, noise control, etc., and has developed 3E and 3E PLUS super large quay bridges.

Technical route

Since 2011, SAINTWAH INC. has carried out the research and development of key technologies and products of 3E class quay bridges, realizing the historic leap of China Port Machinery to the development of ultra-large models.

Large post-Panamax quay bridge
In 2006, the 15000TEU Emma  container carrier was put into operation, in order to adapt to the development of the future shipping market, Zhenhua Heavy Industry entered the research and development period of large-scale quay bridges, with a front extension distance of 65 meters and a lifting height of 46 meters on the rail, which can meet the loading and unloading needs of 22 rows of container ships.

Class 3E super large quay bridge
In 2013,  Group's 18,000-box container ship with the world's ultra-long, ultra-wide and ultra-high (Triple E type) was put into service. Zhenhua Heavy Industry took the lead in developing a 3E class super large quay bridge with a front extension distance of 75 meters and a lifting height of 50 meters on the rail, which can meet the loading and unloading needs of 24 rows of container ships.

3E PLUS class super large quay bridge
In 2015, in order to adapt to the inevitable trend of increasing the size of container ships, Zhenhua Heavy Industry developed a 3E PLUS class ultra-large quay bridge in a forward-looking manner, which not only realizes ultra-large and high-speed, but also realizes loading and unloading efficiency improvement and energy saving and environmental protection improvement through intelligent loading and unloading upgrades. The front extension of the quay bridge is up to 80 meters, and the lifting height on the rail is greater than 54 meters, which can meet the loading and unloading needs of container ships with more than 24 rows.
