Introduction
With the advancement of drilling techniques in recent years, the integration of downhole motors in drilling processes has gained rapid popularity. However, traditional self-floating tools struggle to collect accurate data while stationary due to the mud circulation and high-speed operation of the motor, posing a challenge for drilling technicians.
The Retrievable & Fishing Tool has been developed to address this issue, combining the advantages of self-floating capabilities while ensuring accurate data acquisition when using a downhole motor. The tool operates by deploying the survey module into the wellbore while simultaneously starting the pump; data acquisition occurs after reaching the bottom of the well. Upon completion of the survey, the fishing part is deployed and pushed down to the bottom using pump pressure. Once the measuring part and the fishing part are joined, the pump is turned off, and the instrument floats to the wellhead by its own buoyancy, and then data processing is performed.
