HXN5 Locomotive (with double driver's cabs) is a mainline freight diesel locomotive with AC transmission. The locomotive is fitted with GEVO 16 diesel with rated power of 4660kw. It is of AC electrical transmission and control system, double driver's cabs, under-frame load bearing structure with outer corridor;the bogie adopts three independently driven axles; the traction motors use rolling bearing to hang on those axes in same orientation; Traditional pedestal axle box positioning, welded bogie frame and center-pin traction are utilized. The locomotive is fitted with rotary screw air compressor, CCB 2 electro-pneumatic brake system..
