When used, sinker bar can be connected with the polished rod at the top of the well, can also be connected with the sucker rod of the underneath of the well.

Introduction

Sinker bar are used between the rod string and oil well pump. Under the action of its weight, the rod string is in a state of tension and keep the rod in the center of the tubing, to avoid sucker rod bending friction tubing in the oil well. Our company can manufacture sinker bar according to API Spec11 B.

Sinker Bar is made of fine carbon steel or alloy steel. It's threads may be either sucker rod pin- thread or polished rod pin-thread. Both ends have the wrench and one end has elevator neck.

When used, sinker bar can be connected with the polished rod at the top of the well, can also be connected with the sucker rod of the underneath of the well.

Pony rods are manufactured to the same chemical properties, rod diameters, dimensions and tolerances of our sucker rods. Standard lengths include 2' (0.61 m), 4' (1.22 m), 6' (1.83 m) and 8' (2.44 m). Other lengths are available as a special order.

The weighting rod provides a stable center of gravity for the rod above the oil pump to keep it vertical and firm, so as to reduce the bending collision between the rod and the pump piston.

Our weight bar is made of carbon steel by cold rolling process. The surface of the rod is treated and contains API sucker rod thread, shoulder, and wrench square at both ends. One end of the rod provides space for fishing the lifting neck.

For the material of weighting rod, we recommend that the API grade 3 weighting rod made of AISI 4130 alloy steel has a minimum tensile strength of 115000psi, which has better performance than carbon steel weighting rod, and is a kind of weighting rod material with higher performance and price.

Applications

The sucker rod is widely used in the oil extraction industries. The different grade sucker rod can be applied in different applications.

 Grade C sucker rod

Moderate strength, has a certain degree of resistance to the sulfide stress cracking, it is suitable for sour environments.

Grade D sucker rod

The grade D sucker rod is manufactured from high quality heat treated steel alloy, which has high tensile and yield strength, it is can be used in the non-corroding or mildly corroding environments.

Grade K sucker rod

The grade K sucker rod has a good corrosion resistance in H2S, CO2, and NaCl media, it is widely used in corrosion environments.

Grade H sucker rod

This is a type of sucker rod with extra high tensile strength it is ideal for deep and large wells.
