Azimuth resistivity is mainly used in complex formations and thin reservoirs. It provides real-time edge positioning, reservoir tracking, and oil-water interface detection while drilling to achieve accurate geosteering and wellbore trajectory optimization. It also helps with water saturation analysis, well cleaning, kick and loss prediction to ensure that the drill tool travels through the reservoir in the best position, improving the rate of penetration, individual well production, and drilling safety
