What is Swap Body Tank?
Swap Tank will be lifted from a ship with a crane and placed on a train or truck. These containers have foldable legs to support the containers between the two modes of transport. Exchange containers are commonly used in Europe. Exchange containers weigh and cost less than standard containers.
Shipping containers has changed the way goods are transported both internationally and domestically. Other names for exchange are cargo container, cargo container or storage container. Swap Body Tank differs from an ISO container in that the top of the swap body may be open. Due to the different strengths of the walls and roof of the exchange bodies, they cannot be stacked together and are part of an inter-modal system. The standardization of the exchange bodies enables economical rail transport combined with the accessibility offered by truck transport, using one that can be easily moved from one to the other. The shipping method is transferred to a container of another shipping method.
