The Rotary Magnetic Ranging System calculates the orientation and position of downhole tools by measuring the direction and strength of the earth's magnetic field, and transmits data to the surface for processing and analysis to guide directional drilling. The system can improve drilling accuracy and efficiency, and reduce the risk and cost of drilling.
