DESCRIPTION

        The GN Vertical Cutting Dryer uses centrifugal force to dry drilled solids in oil or synthetic base fluids. A stainless steel screen bowl traps "wet" solids and accelerates them up 900RPM with G force to 420G. Liquid is forced through the screen bowl openings, while "dry" solids are extracted by the angled flights attached to the cone, which rotate slightly slower than the bowl. Tungsten carbide protects the flights from abrasive solids and ensures long operational life. This aids in maintaining a constant gap between the scroll and screen bowl, which is crucial for proper operation.

        Customer Background Introduction:

        Ghana Customer is an environmental protection company that has established a drilling waste treatment plant to take over drilling waste recovered from offshore platforms. Customers have thermal desorption system for drilling cuttings. In order to improve the efficiency and performance of drilling waste thermal desorption equipment. Pretreatment is carried out by using GN Solids drilling cuttings dryer. Our drilling cuttings processing system can dry drilling cuttings larger than 250 microns and reduce oil content to 2-5%. The processing efficiency and performance can be greatly improved for the thermal desorption equipment. The liquid material discharged from the vertical cuttings dryer with fine particles need to enter our high-speed variable-frequency decanter centrifuge for solid-liquid separation. The oil recovered from the decanter centrifuge separation can continue to be used in drilling. The oil content of the solid separated by the decanter centrifuge is about 10%, and this can enter into the drill cuttings thermal desorption unit for final treatment.
